Golf properties in Trancoso, Bahia

This is a high-end condominium located on a cliff between Arraial d'Ajuda and Trancoso; two of Bahia's most charming beach holiday towns, served by the international airport of Porto Seguro.

The resort was created around a brand new golf course, the first links course in Southern America.

The project has launched a first phase of 90 plots of which 45 were sold in Oct. '04, and of which 20 have already started construction.

It has teamed up with Club Mediterranée, who built their third resort in Brazil right next to it, sharing the same infrastructure. Owners have access to the Club Med facilities and the golf course. The resort will offer full services (cleaning, maintenance, etc.) on a per-use basis; and the plans include further development of a shopping/restaurant area as well as a bungalow area. The owners have been negociating with several hotel operators including German five star Kempinski hotel brand.

Plots in this resort are amongst the most exclusive in Brazil and this is reflected in the prices.

Avg plots are about 1900 m². Some with no views at all sell for $70; but most plots sell at $150-200/m².
Premium plots, with golf views, are$200-250; those that combine sea and golf views $300.

As a result, plot prices vary from about $150000 to $600000; and custom built homes are offered by several constructors at prices of around $600/800 per square meter ($60/80 per sq.ft.)
There is one front corner plot, featuring views to the sea, the golf and a small canyon in the cliff, that separates the resort from the Club Med. This spectacular plot - about 5000 m² - sells for $2 mn.

The golf course and club house are already operating; a helicopter pad is available, and an air strip is under way. There is a new, private, asphalted road from that links the resort to the neighbouring cities - but the (good) dust road is actually still faster. It takes about 20-25 minutes by car to get to either Arraial d'Ajuda or Trancoso who offer both beautiful beaches, excellent dining and fun shopping opportunities.
