Privately owned, this area of unspoilt beauty lies just across the river from Costa de Sauipe. In fact, it could be almost the twin sister of Costa de Sauipe; except that the hills in the back are a bit lower. (Such hills, however, can be found in the other two plots presented in this area).
It is of exceptional beauty. The beach, of course, is beautiful and lined with palm trees. But just behind it is a natural reserve that covers 2/3 of the property and provides the most spectacular settings for luxury homes... impressive white dunes, lined by crystal clear rivers to swim and bathe, and natural lakes, give way to lush green hills in the back that have spectacular views over all of this natural beauty.
The owners have already done most of the work to get all environmental licenses and have already ceded some 65% of the land, mostly the high dunes, to become a private natural reserve that will offer tracks and viewing points. Building would be concentrated on the stretch between the beach and these dunes.
The owner is well connected to the new mayor of the area and is welcoming talks with parties that would develop parts of the area; yet a detailed master plan has not been made yet. There will probably be a few beachfront plots from 5-10 ha up to about 30ha that are available for residential development and a luxury boutique hotel would be very welcome.
They are sympathetic to partners who would turn the area into something beautiful rather than work with hotel groups who would have more impact on nature (as happened in Costa de Sauipe). The owner has recently partnered with a well-known local building company and developer as shareholder.
Like in Costa de Sauipe, the area just behind the dunes is probably the one most suitable for building.
There is a small but charming village with fish restaurants halfway the beach, just a few dozens of houses.
