Muriu and Jacuma are located just half an hour north of Natal, and are the first locations with some up-market potential in the area.

Closer to Natal, most villages (like Pitangui) are already densely built and occupied by local fishermen. Although there are some plans for a major resort, most of the beach is taken by small and old construction which makes it less appealing for international customer.

Muriu is smaller, relatively undeveloped, and already has a good propertion of the 'better' holiday homes.
