Real Estate Investments in Copacabana
Copacabana is probably the best known beach in Brazil, and its beach, waves and views are very nice indeed.
It also features some of the best hotels of Rio, like the Copacabana Palace, the Marriott's, and Sofitel.
As an investment, Copacabana is a bit more risky; as its well known nightlife also attracts lots of prostitution, street hustlers and petty crime. It's still the most popular destination; but one never knows when the growing feeling of unsafety in the area may trigger a decrease in value.
That's why most locals consider Copacabana as a second-rate neighbourhood; and they have moved south to the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon; and to the areas around the lake - Lagoa and Gavea.
South of Ipanema, Barra and Recreio are increasingly attracting locals and investors - with their beautiful beaches and Miami-style backdrop. |
