Some 35km west of Fortaleza, Cumbuco is a famous kite surfing spot that is bound to undergo further development with the arrival of Vila Gale's Cumbuco resort.

This resort, with 850 units and a 27 hole golf resort, will be built in Barra de Cauipe, just next to the Cumbuco beach.

Cumbuco largely consists of dunes which provide a great departure points for buggy treks. In some points, lakes in the middle of the dunes provide for very unusual sights.
